  • Easiest Bread Ever!

So many bread recipes seem intimidating. From kneading to proofing to water baths…it seems like a lot can go wrong. Not with this recipe!

    Ingredients:

    • 1 cup warm water
    • 1 T sugar
    • 2 1/2 tsp instant yeast (one package)
    • 3 cups bread flour
    • 1 tsp salt

    Steps:

    1. Mix yeast, sugar, and water in a bowl. Let rest 5-10 minutes or until frothy (this is how you make sure the yeast is live!)
    2. Add flour and salt. Knead in bowl until combined and smooth (3-4 min).
    3. Cover with a towel and let rise for one hour.
    4. Remove dough from bowl and place on a lightly floured surface. Shape dough and lay onto prepared baking sheet. Let rest 15 min.
    5. Cook at 400 degrees for 20 min or until golden brown.

*Tap bottom of bread once it’s cool enough to handle. If it sounds like a hollow “thunk”, your bread is cooked fully!*

*Mixing fresh herbs and spices into the dough makes a loaf that will have you feeling oh-so-fancy*
