
Cajun food and pasta? Sign me up! The perfect blend of savory, creamy, and spicy!
Ingredients:
- 3-4 chicken breasts, cut into bite sized pieces
- 14 oz sliced smoked sausage
- 4 cloves minced garlic
- 2 T italian seasoning
- 1 quart chicken broth
- 2 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 16 oz penne pasta
- 1 1/2 T cajun seasoning (or more if you like it super spicy!)
- 4 oz parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Steps:
- In a large pot, season chicken with 1/2 T cajun seasoning, salt and pepper and cook through. Add sausage and continue to cook until lightly browned. Stir in garlic and cook for 2 min.
- Add broth, cream, pasta, and seasonings. Simmer on med-high heat for 15 min or until pasta is tender and sauce has thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in cheese.
