  • One Pot Cajun Chicken and Sausage Alfredo

Cajun food and pasta? Sign me up! The perfect blend of savory, creamy, and spicy!

    Ingredients:

    • 3-4 chicken breasts, cut into bite sized pieces
    • 14 oz sliced smoked sausage
    • 4 cloves minced garlic
    • 2 T italian seasoning
    • 1 quart chicken broth
    • 2 1/2 cups heavy cream
    • 16 oz penne pasta
    • 1 1/2 T cajun seasoning (or more if you like it super spicy!)
    • 4 oz parmesan cheese
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Steps:

    1. In a large pot, season chicken with 1/2 T cajun seasoning, salt and pepper and cook through. Add sausage and continue to cook until lightly browned. Stir in garlic and cook for 2 min.
    2. Add broth, cream, pasta, and seasonings. Simmer on med-high heat for 15 min or until pasta is tender and sauce has thickened.
    3. Remove from heat and stir in cheese.
