Fresh strawberries has to be one of the best things about the summer. They absolutely love the Alabama heat (I, on the other hand, do not). Personally, I think strawberries are a superior fruit because of how versatile they are!

    Ingredients:

    • 16 oz fresh strawberries
    • 3 T orange juice
    • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 3/4 cup butter
    • 1 cup brown sugar

    Steps:

    1. Combine strawberries, OJ, and 1/2 cup sugar in a saucepan. Cook until sugar completely dissolves. Pour into greased baking dish.
    2. Combine remaining sugar and flour in a separate bowl. Using a food processor, combine dry ingredients with 1/2 the butter. It should end up dry and flaky. Sprinkle over strawberries.
    3. Melt the rest of the butter and combine with brown sugar. Dollop on top of strawberries and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
