  • Dehydrating Foods

A few months ago, we decided to get a food dehydrator for our house and it was a great decision! There are so many different uses for a dehydrator. You could even dehydrate whole meals for an emergency food storage or adventures like hiking and camping!

We bought the Game Winner 6 Tray Dehydrator from Academy for only $50! It holds a TON of food!

We haven’t dehydrated much on there yet–we’ve done apple rings, banana chips, and deer jerky! Everything we have dehydrated has been amazing, but the bananas are definitely my favorite because they slightly caramelize in the process, making them extra sweet!

I would love to dehydrate meals for hiking trips like Renee and Tim on TikTok (@renee-and-tim) do, but we aren’t quite there yet! I highly recommend getting a dehydrator if you’re someone that wants dehydrated snacks made from scratch! All you need is a power outlet and some patience!
