  • Brown Sugar Bacon Garlic Chicken

I check out recipes on Pinterest at least once a day. Reading other people’s recipes gives me new ideas, whether I try their exact recipe or create something different, I feel like it helps me expand my cooking creativity! This recipe came straight from dinnerthendessert.com, and it was absolutely amazing! Sweet, salty, and a little spicy from the garlic. The flavors melt together perfectly!

The only thing I did differently when making this recipe was I cooked my bacon halfway done before wrapping it around the chicken. I feel like this helps the bacon to cook completely and not leave you with a soggy, fatty strip!

    Ingredients:

    • 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 5 oz each)
    • 2/3 cup brown sugar
    • 3 T minced garlic
    • 3/4 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper
    • 12 slices bacon

    Steps:

    1. Cook bacon until halfway done and set aside.
    2. Mix together brown sugar, garlic, salt, and pepper. Dip chicken into mixture and massage to fully coat each breast.
    3. Wrap each chicken breast with two strips of bacon. Lay chicken onto prepared baking sheet and coat with remaining brown sugar mixture.
    4. Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 min or until chicken is cooked through. Be careful not to let the brown sugar cook too much, it’ll burn quickly!
