I check out recipes on Pinterest at least once a day. Reading other people’s recipes gives me new ideas, whether I try their exact recipe or create something different, I feel like it helps me expand my cooking creativity! This recipe came straight from dinnerthendessert.com, and it was absolutely amazing! Sweet, salty, and a little spicy from the garlic. The flavors melt together perfectly!
The only thing I did differently when making this recipe was I cooked my bacon halfway done before wrapping it around the chicken. I feel like this helps the bacon to cook completely and not leave you with a soggy, fatty strip!
Ingredients:
- 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 5 oz each)
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 3 T minced garlic
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 12 slices bacon
Steps:
- Cook bacon until halfway done and set aside.
- Mix together brown sugar, garlic, salt, and pepper. Dip chicken into mixture and massage to fully coat each breast.
- Wrap each chicken breast with two strips of bacon. Lay chicken onto prepared baking sheet and coat with remaining brown sugar mixture.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 25-30 min or until chicken is cooked through. Be careful not to let the brown sugar cook too much, it’ll burn quickly!
